With 36 players taking part and all 8 courts in use, the tournament had a brilliant standard with both Men’s and Ladies Singles Champions involved plus many of the men’s first and second team. The scoring and luck of the draw worked a treat as many of the top players finished middle ranked. There were joint winners, Rob Franks won all five of his matches as did Michelle Kurer. A singles tie break was then played to see who won the hamper and Rob scraped it 7-5 but was given a scare.
As with the first time this event was run, there was a really vibrant atmosphere and the afternoon was enjoyed by all who took part.
Here’s to the next one.
