Booking Online

Booking online still seems to present a problem to some members despite the fact that we have sent instructions out on a number of occasions.

A new page has been added to the main menu with instructions on how to set up booking online and set it up on your smartphone.

8 Courts 36 Players

The second Sunday doubles tournament took place on May 14th. Run by Marc, this fast moving competition gives everyone taking part a chance to play with a partner drawn at random with points being accumulated based on games won.

With 36 players taking part and all 8 courts in use, the tournament had a brilliant standard with both Men’s and Ladies Singles Champions involved plus many of the men’s first and second team. The scoring and luck of the draw worked a treat as many of the top players finished middle ranked. There were joint winners, Rob Franks won all five of his matches as did Michelle Kurer. A singles tie break was then played to see who won the hamper and Rob scraped it 7-5 but was given a scare.

As with the first time this event was run, there was a really vibrant atmosphere and the afternoon was enjoyed by all who took part.

Here’s to the next one.
